What best place than NYC for art? To see it, experience it, create it, share it with others. I am fascinated by forms of art like sculptures & photography. Art ignites my mind, and provides inspiration for the choices I make. Writing is probably the best way I have to express my art and creativity. I am trying to practice with photography, but I guess I need some more time…

The best piece of art I have ever seen live…

It was 2003 and I was in Paris for Christmas. The trip to the Louvre Museum was the one I was eagerly anticipated most. I couldn’t care less of seeing La Gioconda (I have always thought that it was nothing special..) but, at the same time, I couldn’t wait to see Antonio Canova’s sculpture: Amore & Psyche. The legend of Cupid and Psyche (also known as The Tale of Amor and Psyche and The Tale of Eros and Psyche) first appeared as a digressionary story told by an old woman in Lucius Apuleius’ novel, L’asino D’oro (The Golden Ass), written in the second century A.D. Apuleius likely used an earlier tale as the basis for his story, modifying it to suit the thematic needs of his novel.

As probably everyone knows Cupid is the famous Goddess of love and sexuality, also called Eros (έρoς) in Greek Mithology, and Psyche (ψυχή) means soul. In Greek and Roman mythology, Psyche was the personification of the passion of love, and the two together can create the perfect fit, the great couple, that unique match that all of us look for…
